JOHOR BARU: It was a day of festive cheer at Sunway Iskandar GRID Chinese New Year open house held at the Sunway Iskandar Sales Gallery here.

The celebration, which involved some 500 visitors, saw adults and children alike enjoying themselves in a line-up of activities recently.

Not only were guests treated to a traditional Chinese buffet spread, they also witnessed a roaring lion dance performance as well as a 12 Seasons Drum performance.

The crowd favourite was the God of Prosperity, who mingled and exchanged wishes with the children and other guests at the celebration.

The Chinese New Year celebration was held in conjunction with the launch of Sunway Iskandar’s Sunway GRID.

Sunway Iskandar chief executive officer Gerard Soosay said that the celebration allowed them to share the concept of Sunway GRID with their supporters.

“Sunway GRID will be our first phase project in the Marketplace Precinct, and will feature 41 units of retail shops, 74 offices and 501 units of apartments.

“We believe Sunway GRID will be much sought-after by young start-up entrepreneurs and business owners as it offers them the convenience of customising their preferred unit according to their needs,” he said.

He said that buyers could choose to combine small offices into bigger space, or select the number of rooms in apartments for their needs.

He added that they were looking forward to seeing innovative businesses being grown in Sunway Iskandar.
