PETALING JAYA: CIDB MyIBS Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Construction Industry Development Board, Malaysia (CIDB) and Persatuan Kontraktor Perumahan Kelantan (PKPK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today, to enhance awareness and adoption of Industrialised Building Systems (IBS) in construction works by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Kelantan, recently.

“The partnership between CIDB MyIBS and PKPK underscores the Government’s commitment to engage and collaborate with various agencies and stakeholders to drive the adoption of latest technologies in the construction industry, such as IBS,” said Ministry of Works secretary-general Datuk Seri Zohari Akob in a statement.

As part of the partnership, CIDB MyIBS will provide technical advice and capacity-building programmes to PKPK members to facilitate the adoption of modern construction technology.

The partnership will also create a platform for Bumiputera construction players to expand their business network and strengthen their position in the face of modernisation.
