SHAH ALAM: Central Pattan Public Co Ltd (CPN) recently announced the anchor tenants for their upcoming shopping centre which is slated to be open by the end of the year.
According to the statement by the company, CPN Malaysia chief operating officer Anthony Dylan shared “Central i-City is a 940,000 sq ft shopping centre with a total gross development value (GDV) of RM850mil. The iconic shopping centre will include 350 retail shops with three levels of basement car park and six levels of retail. We are proud to work in partnership with our key tenants — Sogo Department Store, Village Grocer and TGV Cinemas.”
Central i-City shopping centre is a joint venture between CPN, Thailand’s largest retail developer and investor and I-City Properties Sdn Bhd (ICP), an affiliate of i-Bhd. It is expected to open its doors by the fourth quarter of this year.
The 200,000 sq ft Sogo Department Store in the retail complex will be spread over four levels and will be the first Sogo in Klang and Shah Alam. It is a joint venture between the retailer and the Central Department Store Thailand.
Village Grocer in the shopping centre will feature 40,000 sq ft of retail space and is also the first and largest branch in Klang and Shah Alam. It will offer a combination of grocery products as well as food and beverage offerings.
TGV Cinemas in Central i-City will house the first IMAX screen in the Klang and Shah Alam region, with eight digital screens to cater to a maximum audience capacity of 1,800.
