PETALING JAYA: CapitaLand Group’s d’Leedon and Jewel Changi Airport have been recognised on the world stage at the International Architecture Awards 2016.
“We are pleased that two of CapitaLand’s outstanding projects – d’Leedon and Jewel Changi Airport – have been recognised by the International Architecture Awards 2016 for their all-rounded excellence in architectural design, construction, planning, and sustainability. d’Leedon and Jewel Changi Airport were picked as shining examples of how innovative and community-centric design can be seamlessly integrated into buildings in an aesthetically outstanding manner,” said CapitaLand Limited Asia chief development officer Simon Yong in a statement.
Completed in 2014, d’Leedon stands out in the prime District 10 of Singapore for its distinctive curvilinear architectural form designed by award-winning Zaha Hadid Architects. The 1,715-unit residential development is the largest residential development in Singapore.
Jewel Changi Airport, which is targeted to open in early 2019, is envisaged to be a world-class lifestyle destination. Designed by Safdie Architects, Benoy and local architects RSP, its distinctive architecture includes a stunning glass and steel façade and a refreshing indoor environment of lush greenery.
