PETALING JAYA: Bursa Malaysia queried loss-making Caely Holdings Bhd when its shares hit limit up on heavy volume.
Caely, a smallish property, construction and manufacturing company saw a sharp rise of 30 sen or 38.46% in its share price to RM1.08. It dipped into the red in the last reported quarter ended Sept 30, 2017.
Heavy volume was apparent with 18.29 million shares changing hands.
Bursa Malaysia asked the company to disclose any corporate developments in the company including those at negotiation level. It must also divulge “any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs” of the company that may account for the trading activity.
Caely reported a net loss of RM234,000 for its second quarter ended Sept 30, 2017 compared with a net profit of RM2.19mil a year ago. Revenue totalled RM21.24mil against RM29.16mil in the same quarter a year ago.
