ECO World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld Malaysia) sees the acknowledgement by the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award as an encouragement to continue delivering the best services to its clients.
President and chief executive officer Datuk Chang Khim Wah says as a new player in the property market, it has put in a lot of effort in establishing its name in Malaysia and overseas in the past four years.
“We are not resting on our laurels and will continue to work even harder to push up sales and deliver high quality end-products as well as excellent customer service,’’ he says.
Chang says the company is banking on the progress and development in Iskandar Malaysia to attract buyers for its residential, commercial and industrial development projects in the economic growth corridor.
He notes that Iskandar Malaysia’s close proximity with Singapore – an international financial and trade centre – is an added advantage for the company to attract prospective buyers.
Chang says it is only logical for the Singapore-based small and medium enterprises and the multi-national companies there to choose Iskandar Malaysia due to Johor Baru’s close proximity with Singapore.
He says in today’s competitive business world and ever-changing economic landscape, the company needs to be a few steps ahead to ensure its long-term sustainability.
“Eco World will continue to strive harder to ensure a sustainable value for our purchasers and investors and we will not be easily satisfied with current achievements,’’ says Chang.
He says its Eco Business Park I @ Tebrau (EBP1) with a gross development value of RM3.79bil, sited on 247.66ha in Iskandar Malaysia is more than just the conventional industrial park.
It provides sustainable industrial and business space, while promoting creation of a vibrant business community, and has three phases to meet specific business needs.
They are – Phase 1 – manufacturing plants and warehouses, Phase 2 – retail, showrooms and offices and Phase 3 – customised business spaces.
EBP1 offers world-class facilities that set new benchmarks for the industrial hubs of tomorrow, complete with multiple intelligent, environmentally friendly and resource-saving features.
These are further complemented by the EBP One-Stop Business Solution, which comprises professional services to assist business owners in setting up a business in Malaysia as well as business incubator facilities.
“The EBP One-Stop Business Solution provides both park owners and employees a consistent range of services, right from the point of their purchase until they begin operations,’’ says Chang.
The one-stop business solution includes pre-assessment test for Department of Environment, incentives and financing facilitation, business licensing, renovation and fit-out advice, manpower recruitment, moving in assistance and tax consultation.
“Our EcoWorld Business Grant, the pioneer grant and the investment grant, helps entrepreneurs start their business in our development,’ says Chang.
He points out that the company is more than just a developer as it also acts as a one-stop business solution provider for its commercial and industrial clients.
Chang adds that the company goes the extra mile by doing the necessary work for its clients and working closely with relevant Federal and state agencies to assist them like getting incentives or perks.
He adds that EcoWorld also coordinates business arrangements with its clients at the company’s industrial parks including meeting with domestic and foreign investors to enhance their networking.
“Our objective is to ensure the long-term sustainability of their business by enhancing their network with their upstream and downstream industries,’’ says Chang.
He says another strong selling point of EBP1 is its strategic location in the matured Tebrau growth corridor as well as easy accessibility.
The project is located about 4km away from the Eastern Dispersal Link Expressway, the North-South Expressway (5km), the Senai-Desaru expressway (14km) and the Second Link Expressway (30km).
It is also accessible from the Woodlands Checkpoint and Tuas Checkpoint in Singapore, with two seaports – Johor Port in Pasir Gudang about 20km and Port of Tanjung Pelepas which is 40km away as well as Senai International Airport (15km) and Singapore’s Changi International Airport (50km).
