SEMENYIH: Property developer Boustead Properties Bhd has donated two Kawasaki Z250 motorcycles worth RM48,000 to the Semenyih police station as part of the company’s efforts to support the community.
The motorcycles will be used to increase the frequency of police patrols to ensure law and order.
Boustead Properties project development general manager Shahril Mohd Khairi said: “We are reaching out to make a difference in the communities we exist through various means this year as we elevate our corporate social responsibility efforts.
“As a start, we are kicking off the year with the contribution of motorbikes to enable the police to better safeguard the communities here in Semenyih, which is also home to our 1,200 acres township project, Mutiara Hills.”
“As Semenyih develops, we believe it is vital to equip the police with sufficient assets so they can perform their duties well. We plan to continue lending a hand to those who are under-served and vulnerable, and make a positive impact on quality of life,” he added.
The motorcycles were handed over to Kajang police chief assistant commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan.
He said: “The motorbikes will be a boost to our patrolling activities to keep the neighbourhoods in Semenyih safe as this district is growing. We thank Boustead Properties for the timely contribution which will also assist the police in crime prevention.”
