The highly anticipated groundbreaking ceremony of Ancubic A-Park Bangi marked a pivotal moment for the region, drawing industry leaders, government officials and business executives to witness the beginning of what promises to be a transformative development.

As the latest project from Ancubic Group, A-Park Bangi is not only a milestone for the group but also a significant contributor to the future of industrial growth in Bangi. This new industrial park is already turning heads in the investment world, attracting both local and international attention to the area.

Ancubic A-Park Bangi, located in the heart of one of Selangor’s most strategically vital industrial zones, sits on 20 acres of prime land surrounded by multinational companies that have long set up operations in the Bangi Industrial Area.

This site is the last remaining parcel of prime industrial land in the area, which adds to its allure for investors looking for opportunities in a region poised for growth, said Ancubic Group of Companies executive director Datin Kimilee You.

“The establishment of A-Park Bangi is our proactive response to the future of industrial development and our serious commitment to quality and sustainability. We are dedicated to creating a park that meets modern industrial needs. In addition to optional solar rooftops and rainwater collection systems, the park offers spacious 20-metre-wide roads and security monitoring systems, providing a high-quality production environment and advanced supporting facilities for various businesses,” she said.

Conveniently positioned just 35 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, the park boasts excellent access to key transport hubs, including the North-South Expressway (NSE), SILK Highway and SKVE Highway. This location ensures smooth connectivity to major markets and logistics networks, making A-Park Bangi a natural choice for businesses seeking efficiency and accessibility.

The strategic location of A-Park Bangi gives it a strong competitive edge, particularly for international manufacturers who value proximity to suppliers and efficient logistics.

By reducing transportation distances and adhering to ESG standards—such as lowering the carbon footprint—A-Park Bangi offers an ideal operational environment for companies keen on sustainability and efficiency.

Furthermore, businesses operating in the park benefit from easy connections to core cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Kajang, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya as well as the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and major ports. This seamless integration into Malaysia's infrastructure enhances the park's appeal to investors looking for both operational advantages and logistical convenience.

Positive impact

Selangor Chief Minister Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, who officiated the ceremony, expressed his optimism about the potential impact of A-Park Bangi on the local economy. Praising Ancubic Group for its role in promoting industrial upgrades and economic growth in the region, the Chief Minister noted that the establishment of A-Park Bangi injects new vitality into Bangi’s economic landscape while providing a favourable environment for investors.

His remarks underscored the state government’s ongoing support for projects like A-Park, which are critical to promoting comprehensive regional economic prosperity.

Bangi’s growing reputation as an industrial hub is further strengthened by its highly skilled labour force, he said, noting that the multiple universities and colleges in Selangor produced over 30,000 graduates annually which provides ample workforce support for manufacturing, logistics, warehousing and other industrial operations.

Amirudin Shari said this is reflected in Selangor’s ability to foster sustainable and effective economic growth in the country.

"Selangor recorded an average GDP (Gross Domestic Product) growth of 7.43%, exceeding the RS-1 target for the 2021-2025 period, which was set at between 6.5% and 7.0%," he said.

The state government aimed to contribute 27% to the national GDP based on recent developments and the aligned direction between federal and state administrations. To achieve this, the state government has set a target for annual average investment value between RM23bil and RM35bil.

Built with modern facilities and amenities

Ancubic A-Park Bangi is tailored for diverse industrial uses, allowing businesses to unlock significant development potential while ensuring operational excellence, You said.

The park’s modern infrastructure, combined with its strategic location, makes it a highly attractive investment opportunity for companies looking to expand their industrial footprint in Malaysia.

Beyond its infrastructure, A-Park Bangi is also contributing to the intellectual and technological advancement of the region. A series of high-end lectures were organised during the opening ceremony, providing attendees with valuable insights into emerging industries and technologies.

Notably, Halal Integrated Platform head Mohammad Hafiz Jamaluddin shared opportunities within the halal industry and explained how the Halal Development Corporation (HDC) supports halal industry players.

Halal Development Corporation Bhd chief executive officer (CEO) Hairol Ariffein Sahari said Ancubic A-Park Bangi has the potential to attract domestic and foreign investments through advanced infrastructure, strategic location and close collaboration with the government in planning.

“Ancubic A-Park Bangi is a game-changer. From a halal point of view, Bangi has a good source of expertise (from university graduates) who can identify and source halal materials and ingredients to expand the halal industry,” he said, noting that the industry currently generates 7.1% of the nation’s GDP.

It is a growing industry with a huge potential with Hairol foreseeing that the sector can generate 10.8% of the nation’s GDP by 2030.

Meanwhile, Dr Lau Cher Han, a noted expert in artificial intelligence, also provided insights into AI applications in Industry 4.0. These sessions highlighted the growing importance of innovation and technology in the industrial sector, offering valuable knowledge for businesses looking to capitalise on these trends.

Setting new standards

The attention that Ancubic A-Park Bangi has garnered from both domestic and international investors is a testament to its strong potential. As Malaysia’s industrial sector continues to evolve, developments like A-Park Bangi are setting new standards for industrial parks that are both forward-thinking and sustainable. The park’s emphasis on modern infrastructure, environmental responsibility, and logistical convenience positions it as a key player in the region’s industrial future.

Ancubic A-Park Bangi is more than just an industrial park—it is a beacon of future industrial development in Malaysia, said Selangor State Executive Council member Ng Sze Han.

By attracting a diverse range of businesses and investors, the park is poised to play a crucial role in Bangi’s economic growth, he said. Its strategic location, commitment to sustainability and top-tier facilities make it an ideal choice for businesses seeking to thrive in today’s competitive market.

As Bangi continues to rise in prominence, Ancubic A-Park will undoubtedly be at the forefront of this growth, drawing more investors and businesses to the region and solidifying its position as a premier industrial destination in Malaysia, said Ng.

Also present at the groundbreaking and opening ceremony were Ancubic Group of Companies managing director Datuk Low Boon An, Kajang Assemblyman Cheong Kian Young, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSCCCI) president Datuk Ng Yih Pyng, Kuala Langat Municipal Council president Mohd Hasry Nor Mohd, Kajang Municipal Council president Nazli Md Taib, Hulu Langat district officer Datuk Mohd Jusni Hashim and Invest Selangor CEO Datuk Hasan Azhari Idris.
