DESARU: UEM Sunrise Bhd has unveiled the first phase of The Maris, a development sited along the coast of Desaru, a beachfront spanning 17km. 

Wrapped around the concept of “Garden Homes”, this low-density precinct has only six houses within each acre with a total of 16 semi-ds at the peripheral. In total, precinct one holds 260 residential units.

The development itself derived its namesake from the scientific name of the seashell’ Conus Gloriamaris’, tare found off the coast.

“The Maris, our latest resort-living lifestyle development in the southern region promises a tranquil living amidst greenery settings,” said UEM Sunrise Bhd chief marketing officer Kenny Wong.

It offers views overlooking the green terrains of an international standard golf club course while theme park attractions and the beautiful sandy beach of Desaru is within easy reach, he said.

The developer has allocated 18% of the land as greenscapes. Two design options are offered, with built-ups ranging from 2,059 sq ft to 2,666 sq ft in 3+1 bedroom configurations. To date, the first phase of The Maris has recorded a take-up rate of 66%.
