Convenient town for the well-connected community

WHAT makes a good town? For town-maker Gamuda Land, a good town is where people call it home, where they want to be part of its community, where they grow up and grow old in.

To achieve this, a key development principle is investing in infrastructure to ensure easier links into the town. The accessibility of Gamuda Gardens, located in Sungai Buloh and in close proximity to the northern parts of Petaling Jaya and Damansara, is a top appeal of the town.

“When drawing up the master plan for Gamuda Gardens, we thought of the connectivity that will ensure accessibility from the home to the highway, the layout of roads and infrastructure so that the community can easily commute to and from work every day,” said Gamuda Gardens general manager Wong Yik Fong.

“We strategically placed the entrance and exit points of our town so that our community can have easy access to other towns as well as the city. That is how we approach our transport master plan -- so that our community can come home yet remain connected to other communities.”

Located at the confluence of three major highways -- the North-South, Latar and Guthrie expressways -- Gamuda Gardens is reachable after the Kota Damansara and Sungai Buloh exits.

The Kuang Elevated Interchange System provides direct access from the NorthSouth Expressway into Gamuda Gardens.

Gamuda Gardens is easily accessible by highway and railway.

Tan, a Gamuda Gardens purchaser said: “I was pleasantly surprised at how convenient it is to get Gamuda Gardens. Initially, I thought that Gamuda Gardens was located in the suburbs and would require a long drive but it took me only 10 to 15 minutes from the Kota Damansara exit to get into the town. The good connectivity is a prime factor why my family and I decided to set up home here.”

Wong elaborated on what he termed a “sustainable solution for transportation challenges and heavy traffic” faced by suburban residents. Part of the planning involved shuttle services that ferry the community from Gamuda Gardens to the Kuang Komuter station (3km from the town) and the Sungai Buloh MRT station (about 10km away).

“Our community can easily connect to other parts of Greater Kuala Lumpur,” he added.

Dubbed “in a garden where happiness lives”, Gamuda Gardens is renowned for its 50-acre central park featuring cascading waterfalls, five lakes that are integrated into the park, a mixed-terrain jogging and cycling trail as well as various pocket parks such as the Wetlands and Adventure Playland, and lookout points that offer panoramic views of the lush-green environment.

Commercial, business and retail hubs are also in the works to support the growing community in the future and also boost the growth of northern Kuala Lumpur.
