Taman Politeknik is a residential neighbourhood located in the district of Port Dickson, far towards the south of the district and the state of Negeri Sembilan. It is located in one of the quietest parts of towns, which is as it should be as this is a housing area that caters to the students of the Politeknik Port Dickson students. Houses here are all freehold, and as part of an older development, the developer is unrecorded.All of the houses in Taman Politeknik are mainly single storey terrace houses, whereby most of them are very well maintained. There is however a mall by the name of Poly Mall which is very close to home, which can provide the basic necessities.Taman Politeknik is extremely well connected, as through a series of inner roads, the neighbourhood is connected to the main road of Port Dickson, Jalan Pantai which in turn connects to the North - South Expressway. However, staying here will only be possible if the buyer owns his own vehicle, because unless willing to cycle out every time, it will be necessary to drive as the public transportation in this area is scarce at best.

However all of the houses here appear to be fairly well maintained, highly possible due to the fact that the majority of them are tenanted at one point or another, due to the high number of students who live in the area.With as many students living in Taman Politeknik, many prospective buyers might expect there to be traffic congest as usually happens in high traffic students areas in Kuala Lumpur, however this neighbourhood is remarkable congestion free and remains peaceful at all times of the day. The neighbourhood of Taman Politeknik could be said by some to be almost exclusively tenanted by students of Politeknik Port Dickson, however, there are a number of families who stay there as well, with some of them being the staff at the university. Some of the homes here are also rented out to holiday goers who seek the sandy white beaches of Teluk Kemang.Taman Politeknik is viewed by some to be an excellent investment, as the buying price is low, with almost guaranteed tenancy. This may also be true, as houses for sale or rent in Teluk Kemang are usually fairly limited at all times. Some also deem this housing area to be an excellent retirement home, as a rare kind of peace and serenity can be found here; an environment that most homes in quiet neighbourhoods close to the beaches usually have.
