Taman Continental (also known as Continental Park) is a small neighborhood located within Kuchai Lama township. It is surrounded by neighboring 'gardens' or communities like Happy Garden, Taman Kuchai Jaya, Taman Goodwood, and Taman Lian Hoe.In fact, Taman Continental is also very near Old Klang Road where it connects to the New Pantai Expressway (NPE), taking residents to Bangsar or Subang in 10 minutes. Access into the garden is via Jalan Kuchai Lama which interconnects all the various neighborhoods in Kuchai. The dense population within the Kuchai Lama area flows through Jalan Kuchai Lama with easy access to the Federal Highway, KL-Putrajaya Highway, KL-Seremban Highway and others. Taman Continental was developed by Capital Land (the property arm of Tan Lai Kim Group of Companies) around the early 90's. Consisting mainly commercial property, the land is leasehold. There are at least 4 different schools within and around Taman Continental. KTM Pantai Dalam and KTM Petaling are about 2km drive away. There are plenty of restaurants, 2 petrol stations nearby, places of worship and the large Old Klang Road wet market is just 6 mins drive away.

Taman Continental is located along the thoroughfare of Jalan Kuchai Lama. Because it interconnects many other neighborhoods, traffic flows through quite heavily. A popular restaurant, Restaurant 88 brings many visitors as well through the area. The residences are old and still occupied by the early owners. But many businesses have taken up shop in the area as it is a popular district being so close to Old Klang Road. The easy access in and out of the area, connecting to KL and PJ via major roads and highways are a boost to the community. The upgrade of Old Klang Road with the completed road widening projects and better irrigation and deepening of Sungai Kerayong to combat floods have helped ease the traffic congestion that was notorious of the area for many years. Property value within Kuchai Lama itself has increased 150% especially in Happy Garden, over the last 17 years. In Old Klang Road itself, newer property developments see an increase in high-end condos being built with good response from investors. Looking forward, there is a proposal in the Draft KLC City Plan 2020 to build a local bus terminal in Happy Garden, as well as a new LRT line which will link Pantai Dalam and Desa Tun Hussein Onn. This will cross through Jalan Gembira and Jalan Sepadu after passing Desa Petaling and Salak South. There developments will surely be a boost to Taman Continental, as well as all the affected communities.
