Safa (also known as Safa Terraces) is the second residential development in Desa ParkCity, right after Nadia. It is a 2-storey terrace houses development, and was completed in 2004. Safa comprises of 171 units of 2-storey terrace houses in a gated and guarded 13-acre vicinity. The house is surrounded by landscaped park that connects these houses from one to another. It is designed in such a way that open-plan dry kitchens open out onto an internal courtyard to bring in natural light and cool breezes. Safa is strategically located on the north side of Desa ParkCity. It is just opposite ParkCity Club and minutes of walking away from Desa ParkCity Central Park and The Waterfront. But if need to commute to work around prime commercial areas like Damansara Utama, Bandar Utama, Damansara Heights and Bangsar, you have to fork out high cost for toll at Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong and Penchala Link for RM1.60 and RM2.00 respectively. Plenty amenities can be find in the area. Besides The Waterfront which houses Max Value, ADG Computer Centre, Klinik Medivron, ArtWorkshop, Kluang Station and Little Einstein, there is Tesco Manjalara located just 5 minutes of driving away. Surrounding The Waterfront, there is a 17.2-ha public park, named Desa ParkCity Central Park, that consists of a lake and jogging path surrounding it. Also, the clubhouse next to it, called ParkCity Sports Centre offers a pavilion lounge, swimming pools, tennis courts, badminton courts, a gymnasium and a childcare centre as well as a FIFA-size football field and two basketball courts. In addition, this modern town will soon have a hospital, international school and a commercial centre (named The Quaritz) which are currently under development. Few kilometres away, you can find SMK Sinar Bintang, SK Manjalara, SMK Manjalara and also Kuala Lumpur Islamic Secondary School.

Analysis
Perdana ParkCity is a new player in property development. The company is the property development arm for the Samling Group, a Malaysian conglomerate. Perdana ParkCity made its first debut by developing One Ampang Avenue, a 640-unit condominium in Jalan Ampang. Besides that, the company is currently developing Bintulu ParkCity in Bintulu Sarawak on a 180-acre parcel of land that will extend the existing Bintulu town. Desa ParkCity is a great neighborhood to live. There is almost everything you need in the whole master plan – just like its motto, the place where you LIVE, WORK and PLAY. There are 45-acre central park, a clubhouse, a community centre, Chinese school, international school and others located in the enclave. Currently under developments are a hospital which is a joint-venture project with Subang Jaya Medical Centre, and The Meritz that comprises of rows of shops. Density is a growing concern among the residents of Safa. How the place would turn out after all developments have completed in 2012? The developer claimed that there will be 7,278 residences and a population of 35,000 in 2012. Adding with commercial activities within the commercial centres, the neighborhood is likely to be cramped and full with people. Do not forget that there are other neighborhoods surrounding Desa ParkCity as well.Investment wise, if you are really keen to put your money in one of landed units in Desa ParkCity, Safa would be a great investment option. The houses were launched from RM600,000 and have already reached RM800,000 nowadays. But hey, other latest houses in Desa ParkCity have already breached RM1 million, thus this is actually quite a bargain. The price is also competitive amongst terrace houses in Bandar Utama, Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) and Damansara which are around RM700,000.
