Areca Residence was developed in the enclave of Laman Rimbunan, Kepong. A product of a joint venture between Faber and Metro Kajang Holdings (now known as MKH), Areca Residence was completed in October 2012, and is a leasehold property.Areca Residence is made up of 156 semi-detached units that are all 3-storey high. Three layouts are present, namely Areca 1, Areca 2 and Areca 3. All units will come with five bedrooms plus one utility room, and a generous number of six bathrooms. On the outer look, the houses would have sufficient natural lighting and nice facade. Surely, being an upscale landed residential development, Areca is a gated community with around the clock security patrol and measurements.The town of Kepong is one of the liveliest communities in Kuala Lumpur. Thus, amenities surrounding Areca Residence are just around the corner. Shop at the nearby AEON Big, Carrefour and Tesco, then relax and enjoy the greenery at Kepong Metropolitan Park, a large recreational ground that contains a lengthy jogging track, a vast lake, a kite-playing area and even a watchtower and a mini jetty, amongst others. Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) is another alternative of natural relaxation point as it is a forest reserve with trails and a cycling track. Selayang Hospital can be a stop for those who need medical attention, while SK Taman Kepong, SMKP Methodist, SRJKT Vivekananda, French International School and many more count as the schools in the area near to Areca Residence.Connectivity for Areca Residence is unsurprisingly aplenty, since it is an urban area. Jalan Kepong, Jalan Kuching and Jalan Ipoh are some of the roads there, with Selayang - Kepong Highway that also leads to the Damansara - Puchong Highway (LDP) and the ever-present Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).

    Looking up for Areca Residence official website is not easy. Bewilderingly, both Faber and MKH do not have the property listed under their development / property site. Nonetheless, the history of both companies are very decent. MKH has produced the Saville franchise, with Saville @ Melawati and Saville @ The Park. More are Sentosa Heights, Pelangi Seri Alam, Hill Park Homes, Desa Mewah, MKH Avenue, Pelangi Damansara Sentral Residences Suites and others. Faber, on the other hand, has Faber Antara under their belt. They are experienced indeed, especially MKH.Kepong's advanced age alludes to the customary traffic congestion issues. At rush hours, Jalan Kepong will have its jam. But this is a common issue for those who live in KL. Alternatively, KTM stations are reachable from Areca Residence, with Segambut and Taman Kepong stations looking to be good options. Unfortunately, KTM Berhad is producing not so good quality in term of their services. Trains are late and packed usually. Hence, it is not so convenient.Laman Rimbunan looks to be a lively community, judging from its Facebook page. The security service seems to be up to standard, thus crimes would not be a big concern. It also means the residents of Areca Residence would be able to enjoy a gated community residential area, which always elevate the standard of the neighbourhood.

    想要找Areca Residence的官方网站并不容易,令人疑惑的是,无论是Faber或MKH都没有将这个发展项目列在他们个别的发展项目中,尽管如此这两家公司仍有优良的发展记录。MKH就打造了Saville房产品牌系列,包括SavilleMelawati与SavilleThe Park, 其他项目还有Sentosa Heights、Pelangi Seri Alam、Hill Park Homes、Desa Mewah、MKH Avenue、Pelangi Damansara Sentral Residences Suites等。至于Faber发展过的屋业项目则有Faber Antara。这两家公司已有相当的经验,尤其是MKH。甲洞发展已有一定的历史,交通阻塞的课题也已司空见惯,每到上下班高峰期,Jalan Kepng肯定阻塞,不过这对于住在吉隆坡的上班族来说,塞车已是很平常的事。若不想塞在路上,也可选乘搭交通工具,距离Areca Residence最近的KTM火车站有Segambut及Taman Kepong,不过令人遗憾的是,马来亚铁道公司(KTM Berhad)的服务素质仍有待提升,电动火车时常误点,所以对住在这一带的住户来说并不是那么方便。从Laman Rimbunan社区的脸书来判断,这里的确是个相当活跃的社区,保安服务似乎已达到标准,因此居民不需过于担心罪案事件,这同时也表示Areca Residence可享受良好的围篱住宅社区,有助提升社区保安素质。
