Seri Mas seems to be maintained well, even though it is about 20 years since its completion. The maintenance fee of RM0.16 psf includes the sinking fund and residents enjoy the use of many of its facilities. From swimming pool to gym, tennis courts, playground and 24hr security, Seri Mas also has a nice open-air area suitable for family gatherings and parties with the use of the BBQ pits made available. For other recreation, residents can make their way to Taman Tasik Permaisuri which is located just 5 minutes drive away in Bandar Sri Permaisuri.Taman Ikhsan and its surrounding areas are home to many flats and low-cost housing. As such, much of the amenities are catered to this dense population in Cheras. From food stalls, to restaurants, the large market and even hypermarkets Tesco and Carrefour are less than 10 minutes drive away from Seri Mas. The developer, Amber Resources built this property back in the late 1990's but is more recently known for the sold out apartment units known as Villa Seri Puteri located in Taman Permata, on the other side of Jalan Loke Yew. The developers office is located in the ground floor of Amber tower in Seri Mas. As of September 2013, the building management made the initiative to repaint the facade and spruce up the exterior of the building to make it more appealing.
