Taman Damai is a relatively new housing development located in the town of Batu Pahat, in the state of Johor. Taman Damai is a well connected residential area, with many road options for getting around. Aside from driving on the main road which provides a more direct route to one's destination albeit with many traffic lights and turn-offs, there are also many inner roads that connect Batu Pahat from one end to the other. As such, tenants of this area, can get around on relatively congestion-free roads.The neighbourhood of Taman Damai is extremely peaceful, owing to the fact that the area backs a forest which has plenty of wildlife, where monkeys and cats commonly run across roofs in the middle of the night. Although break-ins and "mat rempits" are opined to be common in other areas of Batu Pahat, it is non-existent in this area as the area is rumored to be under the care of gangsters in Batu Pahat.Hence, security in Taman Damai is more or less guaranteed, less the offenders find themselves answering to parties infinitely more menacing than the local law enforcers.
