Kelana Idaman terrace residents are the ones who suffered the most from the bad access point into the area and traffic congestion coming from FAS tunnel. FAS tunnel is currently the main access road for residents of Ara Damansara, D'Aman Crimson, Taman Mayang, Taman Megah Emas and Puncak Seri Kelana. Every morning and evening (during peak hours), the road right in-front of these houses are congested with cars and some cars even use internal roads of Kelana Idaman to cut the queue. The problem got worse since the conversion of Jalan Emas 2 tunnel to a one-way street. Due to this problem, the residents have nightmares every time they step out from their house. Some of them claimed that they dare not take their children to the park due to excessive traffic and exhaust fumes from the vehicles. Kelana Idaman is built on the former Kelana Jaya landfill and rubbish dump site. It is well known that landfill sites are not suitable for human habitation. One of the risks is that the sites may contain illegally-dumped chemicals that can affect human health - without knowing it. Besides that, decomposition will gradually sink the waste volume and cause the land to sink, which shall result destabilizing the building structure. This factor is among the factors why the PPR flats besides Kelana Idaman have not awarded with CF till date.
