Taman Jimah Jaya is a housing area located in the district of Lukut in the state of Negeri Sembilan. It is situated north of the beaches of Port Dickson at approximately 14 kilometres away and is approximately 30 kilometres away from the city of Seremban while the city of Kuala Lumpur is slightly more than an hour's drive away. Being an old development, properties here are all leasehold with no record of their developers or completion dates.Houses in Taman Jimah Jaya consist of low cost houses with the majority of them being single storey terrace houses. The built-ups of these homes are generous at at least 1,300 sf, which would command approximately half a million in the Kuala Lumpur city but an auction unit is only selling at the reserve price of RM40,000 here.Being an old development, Taman Jimah Jaya's houses are all preowned; therefore, those that are on sale are mostly partially furnished. What buyers can expect most of the time are fully furnished kitchens with hoods, hobs and cabinets, while all the houses have safety grills installed at the main door and at the windows.As an old neighbourhood, Taman Jimah Jaya was not built with facilities or safety features in mind. There is however a football field within the housing development, as well as the Tanah Merah night market. The closest shopping mall is the Giant hypermarket, where fresh produce can be obtained on a daily basis.The local Taman Jimah Jaya school is the Tanah Merah school is SMK Tanah Merah Site "C", while the closest banking facility to the housing estate is the CIMB Bank in Lukut. The nearest medical institution is the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital which is at least half an hour away. As a matter of fact, besides the school and the night market, all the other amenities are located in neighbouring housing estates.Taman Jimah Jaya well connected via the Jalan Sepang - Lukut main road, which is turn connects to Jalan Seremban and the Seremban - Port Dickson Highway that can bring travellers to either Kuala Lumpur or Seremban. Alternatively, it is also just as convenient to get to Port Dickson via the main road which connects to Jalan Bakar Sampah and in turn to Jalan Pantai. Public transportation is virtually non existent therefore owning your own transport is necessary to live here.

Taman Jimah Jaya is not a popular place to live in, therefore, the population is not dense and lifestyle in this housing area is laid back. As such traffic congestion is never an issue for residents here, even during peak seasons, holidays or long weekends where throngs of locals make their way to the beaches in Port Dickson.The neighbourhood of Taman Jimah Jaya consist mainly of the older generation, who were once estate worker in the Tanah Merah Estates. Most of them could never afford to move away upon retirement, and as Taman Jimah Jaya is one of the closest low cost housing estates many of them moved here.However, it is expected that most of the residents at Taman Jimah Jaya will soon be making a move as in 2011 the government finally began to show signs of fulfilling their promise to provide these former Tanah Merah Estate workers their own homes. As such there is a high number of homes on the auction market from this housing area.Houses in Taman Jimah Jaya are very well maintained, however they will not in the current market cut it as an investment; as besides being out of the way, it is also a low cost area. Although many families have been brought up here in the past, it is nevertheless not recommended as facilities and amenities are few and far between, and education choices and job opportunities are highly limited.
