Ujung Pelangi was established in 1991, with their maiden project being a low density 12 units apartment in Jalan Khaw Sim Bee. Since then they have progressed steadily with high end bungalows in Codrington Avenue and apartments in Mount Erskine. They are currently working on a hotel at Jalan Transfer. It is located in a prime location, close to the city. Because of that as well, residents will have to contend with daily traffic congestion that worsens during peak holiday seasons, due to the increment of people on the road during this period. As a result, a 20-minute drive may sometimes become a 90-minute journey at the worst of times.Prices at Taman Evergreen have been observed to have increased over the past few years, as developers have turned their eyes on this previously unexplored land. More high end homes are being built here, pushing up the price of the existing homes, making this apartment seem like a good investment in spite of its high density, lack of space and lack of facilities. As a permanent home it seems acceptable, but for the price it is being sold for, home buyers will have a wider range of choices elsewhere.
