Taman Segambut Damai is considered to be located in a very central location, especially as it is so very close to the famed and upmarket residences of Mont Kiara. The residential population in both areas are however very high, and motorists can usually expect to be caught in severe traffic during peak hours despite the many measures being taken to smoothen the traffic flow.The neighbourhood is located in one of the older areas, where some of the houses show their age very clearly. There were also some issues regarding unscrupulous developers last year in 2013 who wanted to install sewage pipes in part of the housing area. This created a very loud outcry from the residents in the immediate area as the development plan was apparently without approval and was to happen right in front of their homes. They also feared contamination of their water supplies.Taman Segambut Damai has great potential as a long term investment. Besides sitting on freehold land, it is also located very close to Mont Kiara where the land is saturated with high rises which is now spilling over the borders into Segambut. As it is, there are more and more upcoming developments on the borders of Segambut being marketed as being located in the famed lands of Mont Kiara.
