These apartment units are highly suitable as holiday homes as each unit is big enough to hold an average sized family with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Tanah Rata is home to the famous Boh Tea farm where visitors can enjoy a delicately brewed cup of tea in the peace and serenity of the highlands, as well as the vegetable farm where visitors may buy loads of vegetables for cheap after their visit. Being a slightly warmer town, Tanah Rata is also home to the Butterfly Farm.Whereas in Brinchang, tenants of Desa Anthurium may visit the cactus farm, the strawberry farm and also the famous Sam Poh Temple where visitors will be blanketed by a feeling of peace the moment they cross the threshold. Desa Anthurium is approximately 20 years old, being built just before Cameron Highlands was as well known as it is now. As such, it is only expected that the condition of the building may be a bit worn down on the inside, especially as it is more difficult to keep a a place clean in cold weather due to the various fungi that thrive in this ideal weather.Visitors to Desa Anthurium who complain about the place should bear the age of this apartment in mind, as from a local's experience, all the places for rent in this holiday destination is far from perfect in terms of cleanliness, as even the most expensive hotel in the area find themselves hard pressed in keeping their place shining clean.Visitors to Desa Anthurium will find that traffic is usually clear during non-peak hours, and they will also find that the towns of Tanah Rata and Brinchang are extremely quiet; and one might even go so far to call the place dead. However during peak seasons and holiday periods find the place massively congested, with the occasional landslide making people get stuck in the highlands for hours at a time.As an investment, Desa Anthurium may be the perfect spot if the buyer can find a unit on sale in the market as the place is highly suitable for the usual visitors of big families and friends. However, the buyer will need to see to it that he puts in the time and effort to keeping the place upbeat. It is however not so much of an excellent permanent home as residents will need to cope with the high turnover rate of residents, especially during the holiday seasons.
