Recently, there was a complaint lodge by a resident here at New Sabah Times regarding leaky roof at the Kepayan Ridge flats. The article, dated 1st April 2011 indicates that the roof was damaged by the strong winds not long ago that affected the ceiling badly. The Board of Housing and Urban Development (LPPB) claimed that they will check the status of the housing estate and will send representatives from their maintenance company to fix the roof. Flash flood occurs every time after heavy rain. According to the residents of Kepayan Ridge, it is a normal scene in the neighborhood during wet season in November to March every year. Moreover, frequent down pour of rains have resulted bad road condition. The muddy roads within the housing area have turned into potholes filled with rain water. According to a resident, his car’s tires are half buried whenever crossing the roads. Due to this problem, school children have to walk to the main road to wait for their school bus while the elderly citizens find difficulty to walk around the neighborhood. There are many auction units can be found in auction market with reserved prices from RM80,000 onwards from time to time. But if you wanted to look for a unit in good condition, perhaps you have to fork out about RM115,000 for a unit in subsale market.
