Analysis
In February 2013, the state government and other relevant bodies have allocated RM1.3 million to renovate Mutiara Idaman. The renovation was very much needed, not only from the safety perspective, but also from security. Rampant vandalisme regularly occurred throughout the years and causing distress to the residents. Majority of the residents were transferred to the development when their previous homes were in the way of Tun Dr Lim Vhong Eu Highway.A drawback of Mutiara Idaman is the distance from the main road is also fairly far, making it a bit tough for those depending on public transportation. Being close to Jelutong Expressway, the residents are exposed to noise pollution as well. As Mutiara Idaman is a medium cost apartment, most units might have been left for rent by students, which might lead to lack of parking lots. This point alone should be considered before choosing to stay in this area. It is close to the city centre making it perfect for those working in the city. One of the best part of living here is it has great views of the Penang Bridge.
