Dijaya Corporation was established since June 1979 under the name of Itama. The company was listed in the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia since August 1992. The company only ventured in property development since 1995 after the acquisition of Tropicana Golf & Country Club, which the company decided to change the name to Dijaya Corporation to reflect the group core business to resort and property development. Property developments carried out by the company include Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Tropicana Indah Resort Homes (Tropicana Indah), Casa Tropicana, Casa Kiara I and Tropicana City Tropics. New planned developments are Tropicana City Business Park and Tropicana Grande.In terms of view, there is not much pleasant view from any of the unit at Casa Damansara 1, because all the views are blocked by Ken Damansara I, Casa Damansara 2, Casa Suites and Tropicana City Mall. Furthermore, as the recreational facilities floor is lower than Tropicana City Mall, people from the mall are able to take a peek at residents' activities in the swimming pool and deck. These are the reasons why residents claimed that they feel less privacy and insecure. Moreover, the paint on the building seems fading even though the building is just about 9 years old. This is mainly due to the construction works of Tropicana City. As the development is still under construction, residents have to suffer noise and dusty air coming from it. Casa Damansara 1 enjoys the best accesses compared to Casa Damansara 2, Ken Damansara I and II, and Tropicana City Tropics. This is due to the direct link-bridge between Casa Damansara 1 and Tropicana City Mall that allows residents to access the condominium directly via the link-bridge from Jalan Damansara Lama.Besides that, Casa Damansara 1 enjoys the best capital appreciations in the enclave. Its capital appreciation rate was recorded at 2.03% from 2003 to 2006. Its price was quite stagnant for a while at around RM267 psf, while its rental is at RM1.10 psf from 2006 to 2008. Due to the opening of Tropicana City Mall this year, the unit is priced at RM300 psf and its rental is at RM1.25 psf. There is still high potential for the price to escalate further following new commercial and office building developments in the area such as Glomac Damansara.
