Plaza Palas is an office tower in Lorong Palas, Off Jalan Ampang that was completed in 2006. Alongside it is the Palas Condominium. Both are 21 storeys and 20 storeys respectively. In 2008, both buildings were put up for sale in its entirety. Plaza Palas was selling at RM118 million while Palas Condominium was selling at RM160 million. It is unsure whether the buildings were sold or not and whether there are currently any tenants or occupants to either of the buildings. Plaza Palas is located along Lorong Palas, just off the main thoroughfare of Jalan Ampang. It is situated at the end of Lorong Palas which is just a short lane. The landmark to turn into the lane is the BHP petrol station followed by Pyong Yang Restaurant. The area is close to the Korean Embassy and also Gleneagles Medical Centre just a few minutes walk away. This quiet enclave known as Kampung Berembang or more recently Ampang Hilir, is tucked away from the busy main road but is surrounded by many amenities from petrol stations, to restaurants, International Schools, embassies, and of course condominiums and high-end apartments. Just a few minutes drive away is the Ampang Elevated highway which will take commuters straight into the city center.

    Plaza Palas faces the new development of resort-style condominiums with a lake park called D'Rapport. Phase 1 of the project was completed end of 2010 while the remaining land is currently under construction and expected to be completed in 2012. As the project does not only comprise of residential units, but also public and commercial units, the once secluded and quiet enclave known as Ampang Hilir will soon be more crowded and see heavier traffic in and out of the area. The development however, does give a boost to the otherwise less popular area of Ampang and even increase the value of the neighboring properties especially with new amenities being made available at D'Rapport. Something to note is that high tension wires run parallel on one side of Plaza Palas. For residents and even workers who spend day and night there are exposed to the electromagnetic currents from the cables. Again, not much is know about Plaza Palas or even the Palas Condominium residences except that it was targeted at foreigners and expatriates seeing that the area is close by to many embassies.
