Green Acre Park is another residential development by Sin Heap Lee Development Group in its township development of Bandar Sungai Long. The group started by dealing in traditional commodities back in the 1940s. Then, the company embarked on its first own housing project in 1985 with the development of its first scheme, Taman Sri Rawang, Selangor. Afterwards, the company have completed a total of 9,325 units of mixed development comprises of residential, retail and commercial units, worth over RM1.2 billion in value. Among the company developments are Bandar Sungai Long township, Taman Putra Indah, Taman Universiti Indah and The Taipan. In 2007, there was an illegal dump site right next to Green Acre Park. It has become a breeding ground for flies and pests. Moreover, it also became a place for dogs to feed on garbage. The problem was reportedly solved afterwards, but there is no guarantee that it would not happen again, as this portrays bad habit of the people in the area to dump rubbish at undesignated place and not appreciate lush greenery available in the vicinity. One will also find huge pot holes at most of the roads in the vicinity. This is due to numerous developments in the area as well as bad maintenance by the local authority. Currently, the area seems to be a low density area, but this would not last long. The developer has several projects in hand scattered in this township, mostly are condominiums and terrace homes. These future developments include Capa Residency, Palm Walk, Greenview and Admiral Park. In November 2008, there was a case of a car-hijacker being gunned down along with her accomplice by police in Green Acre Park. The woman and her accomplice have made the condominium as their crime base. They were related to at least 32 cases of car-jacking of luxury vehicles in Klang Valley. Also, a BMW which was reported stolen in Cheras was also found parked at Green Acre Park. This shows lack of security at the condominium and the area, as these criminals were brave enough to make this condominium as their port.One can find that most residents of Green Acre Park are Tunku Abdul Rahman University's students. The university has made this condominium one of its hostel for the students. The university also provides shuttle bus service from the condominium to the university to accommodate these students.Green Acre Park is one of the cheapest residential next to a golf course one can find. If you are serious about golfing, always dream to live next to a golf course, and play every morning and evening with friends and family, Green Acre Park is your dream come true home.One can find plenty of units of Green Acre Park advertised for sale. Also, one can find some units on auction list as well. Clearly, this is not a very good investment to be considered, as it's located quite far away from the city center. But if you are looking for own stay, and fascinate peaceful living next to a golf course, then it will suit you very well.
