Taman Cheras Mewah is located deep in the heart of Cheras, closer to Kajang and Semenyih than it is to Kuala Lumpur. As such, the housing area here is generally not congested during off peak hours. Residents are however usually badly affected by the traffic congestion in the heart of Cheras when heading to and fro home during peak hours.The neighbourhood of Taman Cheras Mewah comprises mainly of the Chinese nationality. The housing developments are usually safe, however there have been numerous cases of break-ins when tenants are not home, resulting in many neighbourhood associations hiring external security guards to cordon off the area and patrol the housing areas day and night.Homes in Cheras are generally considered to be good investments only if located close to the Kuala Lumpur city centre. Taman Cheras Mewah is considered to be one of the housing developments located deeper within the development; however prices of homes here still show a healthy appreciation rate.
