Located just opposite the residential area is the Kepong Metropolitan Lake Garden which hosts playgrounds and jogging tracks.The closest education institution to Taman Kepong Indah is the St. Mary Secondary School which is only 5 minutes away, while within close driving distance are many more primary and secondary schools. Local banks can be found less than 10 minutes away from home in the commercial area, while the Selayang Hospital is less than 5 minutes away.Residents of Taman Kepong Indah enjoy excellent accessibility to the city via both the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) and the Selayang - Kepong Highway, both of which the entrance points are immediately outside the neighbourhood. As such, getting to major trunk roads such as Jalan Kuching and Jalan Ipoh is easy via the highways. The Kepong Sentral station which offers both trains and public busses is only 10 minutes away.

Residents of Taman Kepong Indah generally enjoy smooth flowing traffic at all times of the day, especially if approaching from the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2). The turn-off into the residential area along the Selayang - Kepong Highway on the other hand is extremely congested during peak hours, with the slip roads to and fro the MRR2 being the worst affected.The neighbourhood of Taman Kepong Indah may not be as aesthetically pleasing as some of its neighbours; however, it still presents excellent living opportunities with its quiet and peaceful environment. Many residents are however deterred from utilising the facilities at the Kepong Metropolitan Lake Garden as they complain of an unbearable stench from the lake. House break-ins are also common in the area, posing a problem for residents.Taman Kepong Indah does not present so much of an investment opportunity as it sits on leasehold land where renewing the lease in future might be problematic. It is however at the moment an excellent place for locals to call a home as it is remarkably affordable for a home so centrally located in the city.
