Prices for Desa Pinang at launch started at approximately RM42,000, being low-cost flats. However, asking sub-sale prices as of late have risen to RM135,000. Rental of the units range from RM400-RM600. There are numerous units of 2 for sale, and auction reserve prices could go as low as RM85,000. Asking prices have risen to RM135,000 from the launch price of RM42,000 within the period of four years.Apart from that, Residents of Desa Pinang 1 has has an ongoing tussle with the authorities over a 20-year old dump site that causes peat fires from time to time and heavily pollutes the air. The developing area also has many construction vehicles moving day-in day-out causing further air pollution to the area. And finally, traffic in the area is horrendous at times as the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Highway is pretty much your only entrance and exit.
